I can't launch latest version of Pandora with ShortcutMe. Why?

Please add an Extra AppName (Pandora* or Pandora#) in the Common Config page of ShortcutMe and then create a shortcut using Pandora* or Pandora# as AppName.

(* and # at the end of application names forces ShortcutMe to use alternative launching mechanism to launch apps)

How can I test if ShortcutMe can launch an application I used to use?

Modify one of the existing shortcuts on the ShortcutMe's main page to launch that application (if that application is installed on your BlackBerry, you should be able to see its name on the drop-down application list). Try to launch that shortcut. If ShortcutMe exits without launching any application, then ShortcutMe cannot launch that application. If that application is on our supported application list, send us (support AT fonware dot ca) a bug report. If not, send us an email so that we, if possible, add launching support for that in future releases.

Is it any tricks to launch applicaitons that ShortcutMe doesn't launch directly, or launch apps that doesn't show up in the Application Drop Down list?

- Go to "BlackBerry Home Screen>Options>Aplications>BB/Menu Key>Modules" and look for a module name that might be for the application you want to launch

- Add that module name as an Extra AppName in the Common Config page of ShortcutMe

- Now create a shortcut and select that module name as App Name using the applicaiton drop down list.

- If shortcutMe stil can't launch it add module name plus a * or # (i.e. net_rim_bb_vvm* or net_rim_bb_vvm#)in the Common Config page and check to see if shortcuts based on those appnames can launch your application.

Example: How to launch BlackBerry Visual Voice Mail

- Module name found for Visual Voice Mail: net_rim_bb_vvm

- Adding net_rim_bb_vvm as Extra App Name to the Common Config page.

- Creating a shortcut and selecting net_rim_bb_vvm as AppName

- Now Visual Voice Mail can now be launched with ShortcutMe!

What if the application I used to use cannot be launched by ShortcutMe?

Please send us an email so that we, if possible, add launching support for that in future releases.

Can ShortcutMe launch any application installed on my BlackBerry?

No. RIM does not have a standard API for programmatically launching BlackBerry applications. That includes even RIM own applications, let alone 3rd party apps. If you want ShortcutMe to launch a program that is not already on our supported application list please send us an email and ask us to include support for it in our future releases.

Why ShortcutMe cannot launch all the apps shown on its drop-down-app-list?

Drop-down-app-list shows the list of the installed applications on your BlackBerry. It does not necessarily reflect a list of applications ShortcutMe can launch.

Why drop-down-app-list is not showing just those applications ShortcutMe can launch?

There are many BlackBerry apps out there. We were unable to test every single of them with ShortcutMe. But we wanted to give users a chance to even launch applications we have not tried to launch with ShortcutMe.
Therefore, we made the drop-down-app-list to show installed application and attached the most common launching method found in RIM API to launch them.
